This subspecies is the eastern replacer of A. vesicarius L. from Central Europe in the western Pontic steppes (though however rare populations of typical A. vesicarius exist in the steppes of Ukraine as revealed by Flora USSR and found by L. Bartha recently (see at the bottom of this page ).
